Running an LLC? Consider this your friendly reminder to keep certain records that are required by Wisconsin’s LLC law:
- A list of the past and present members of the LLC
- A copy of the articles of organization and any amendments
- A copy of any operating agreements and amendments
If your LLC doesn’t have an operating agreement outlining members’ contributions, you’ll need records documenting any contributions and additional contributions. In addition, for multi-member LLCs, we encourage members to document any big decisions in writing, such as the members’ decisions to enter into a new commercial lease agreement or equipment lease or the resignation of a member. Want to make sure your LLC books are in order? We’re happy to chat.
