Grow Subscriptions in 2022

We introduced Grow Subscriptions in the summer of 2021, and we are gratified by your response. Our Grow Subscriptions include unlimited calls and emails related to business-related issues. And our Ivy and Orchid levels include other services, too. Whatever Grow Subscription you choose, the fee is fixed and charged monthly. No surprises and budget-friendly, just how small business owners like it.

Fern

2022 cost: $100/month (same as 2021), cancel anytime

Includes: all calls and emails about business-related issues and monthly calls with a real live Wisconsin small business attorney. New for 2022, we’re including at least two months of complimentary Fern service with our flat fee agreements.

Best choice for: business owners at any growth stage (including pre-launch) who don’t know what they don’t know, who are tired of DIYing legal using Google or Legal Zoom, or know they need an attorney on their team but hate to call and feel the hourly billing clock ticking.

How we can help: we know legal is not your thing so ask us anything—a competitor’s branding is too close to yours, your partner wants to move to Florida, your 2022 growth goals are bold (right on!), you’re selling products wholesale and nationwide, you’re thinking about a second location (up the street or in a new state), you’re buying property to flip, own, or rent out—we’re only a phone call or email away.

Ivy

2022 cost: $600/month ($500/month in 2021), three-months minimum term

Includes: unlimited calls and emails about business-related issues, monthly check-in call, review and revisions to agreements 10 pages or less; and new for 2022, a complimentary NDA, confidentiality agreement, talent release, waiver and release of liability, or website privacy policy upon enrollment.

Best choice for: consultants, service providers, influencers—anyone who’s business involves considering other party’s contracts on a fairly regular basis. Signing a contract means you agree with all the terms, including the ones you don’t understand. And, if oral promises were made that aren’t in the final agreement, you’re likely out-of-luck. Also a good fit for businesses who frequently dream up new product names, slogans, and/or designs that, if you aren’t careful, could (improperly) use someone else’s trademark or copyrighted material.

How we can help: revise a marketing agency contract to make sure your expectations will be met; translate existing services agreement from legalese and into English (what good is a contract no one understands?); and revise your website terms of service (e.g., to change your return policy, clarify shipping delays are not on you, or tighten up your goods and services warranties).

Orchid

2022 cost: $1,200/month ($1,000 in 2021), six-months minimum term

Includes: unlimited calls and emails about business-related issues, monthly check-in call, review and revisions of agreements 25 pages or less, and two custom contracts or a custom contract and a trademark application upon enrollment, and new for 2022 a holistic legal check up on enrollment—we’ll talk about your business from head to toe and develop a list of legal must dos and should dos to help you maximize your Orchid Grow Subscription. If anything’s not included, we’ll talk about flat fees or other ways to tackle those projects, and we’ll never do anything extra without your permission.

Best choice for: established businesses who have varied legal needs—including for ongoing advice, contract review, contract drafting and/or trademark registration. The Orchid level is the only Grow Subscription that includes drafting and/or a trademark registration application on top of contract review and ongoing advice.
